- Franchise Celebrations and Future Testing: Marks the 25th anniversary with free-to-play weekends for Wildlands and Breakpoint, a free permanent copy of Future Soldier on PC, and signups for the next-gen Ghost Recon Insider Program.
Ghosts, check your gear and prep for tactical insertion. Ubisoft is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the legendary Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon franchise in grand style, dropping a massive free content and technical update for Ghost Recon: Wildlands titled Last Rites, while offering free games, returning limited events, and opening signups for the next mainline entry.
Developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux, Last Rites introduces an intense standalone narrative operation taking players into a darker, more suffocating region of Bolivia. Operating under dense canopy and perilous swamps, the Ghost squad must infiltrate territory held by Los Penitentes—a ruthless extremist cult governed by blood sacrifice and twisted religious zeal—to eliminate their elusive leader, La Llorona.

The update breathes new life into the 2017 open-world tactical shooter, bringing official 4K resolution and smooth 60 FPS performance to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and modern PCs. Alongside visual enhancements and extended draw distances, players gain access to deep immersion parameters. Commanders can fine-tune tactical realism by modifying enemy perception, damage multipliers, friendly fire rules, limited magazine reloads, dynamic weather duration, and customizable HUD elements.
To top off the anniversary festivities, Ubisoft has brought back the iconic Predator special event, allowing fireteams to test their combat skills against the legendary extraterrestrial hunter once more. Veteran operatives can also gear up for the future: registration is officially open at ghostrecon.com/insider for the Ghost Recon Insider Program, giving selected community members an early hand in shaping the next chapter of the tactical shooter franchise.
Ghost Recon Wildlands: Last Rites is available to play now as a free update across PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Toss Another Coin: The Witcher 3 Remastered Lands September 29 with Brand-New 2027 Expansion Songs of the Past
- Free Next-Gen Remaster Upgrade: CD Projekt Red announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered launches September 29, 2026, offering a free upgrade for existing owners on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, alongside day-one releases on Nintendo Switch 2 and Battle.net.
- All Major Expansions Included: The Remaster bundles both acclaimed story expansions—Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine—straight out of the box at no extra charge.
- Brand-New 2027 Story Expansion: Unveiled Songs of the Past, a massive new storyline co-developed with Fool’s Theory that brings Geralt to Dandelion’s hometown region of Letten, complete with new chain weaponry, mutagens, and dark curses.
Just when you thought you were finally done wandering the Continent, CD Projekt Red pulled off the biggest bombshell of Gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live. The Polish studio has officially announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered for release on September 29, 2026, while shocking the gaming world with a teaser for an all-new full story expansion, Songs of the Past, arriving in 2027.
Having surpassed an incredible 65 million copies sold worldwide, Geralt’s 2015 magnum opus is getting an extensive visual, gameplay, and performance modernisation co-developed with Yigsoft. The remaster brings overhauled textures, lighting refinements, and streamlined gameplay tweaks, bundling both massive story expansions—Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine—into one unified experience.
The real showstopper, however, was the premiere of Songs of the Past. Nearly a decade after Blood and Wine was thought to be Geralt’s final curtain call, CD Projekt Red and veteran support studio Fool’s Theory are bringing the White Wolf back into the field. The upcoming expansion transports players to the seemingly idyllic countryside region of Letten, the ancestral home of everyone’s favorite bard, Dandelion. Beneath the pastoral festivals and lush harvests lies an ancient, festering curse that demands a witcher’s blade. To take on these newly revealed horrors, Geralt adds a tactical chain weapon for wide crowd control alongside powerful new mutagens and dozens of narrative-rich side quests.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered launches on September 29, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, with the Songs of the Past expansion scheduled to arrive in 2027.

Artistic Camouflage Phenomenon: Viral Hide-and-Seek Sensation Meccha Chameleon Blasts Past 20 Million Copies
- Historic 20 Million Milestone: Independent developer lemorion_1224 announced that viral multiplayer doodle game Meccha Chameleon has surpassed 20 million copies sold worldwide in just over two months.
- Creative Body-Painting Camouflage: Rather than relying on simple prop morphs, hiders must quickly paint patterns, textures, and colors directly onto their blank humanoid bodies to seamlessly blend into walls and furniture.
- Rapid Expansion and Viral Reception: Boasting overwhelmingly positive feedback across Steam, the game has rolled out frequent content drops, including new deep-sea arenas and an official crossover map with psychological horror indie The Exit 8.
If you thought the party-game space was running low on fresh ideas, think again. Independent developer lemorion_1224 has officially announced that viral hide-and-seek hit Meccha Chameleon has blown past an incredible 20 million copies sold worldwide on PC, accomplishing the feat just 63 days after its June launch.
Turning the classic Prop Hunt formula completely on its head, Meccha Chameleon pits teams of Seekers against Hiders in high-tension sandbox maps. Starting out as a stark-white blank canvas, Hiders must evaluate their surroundings, lock into a pose, and physically paint their character models on the fly to match brick patterns, wood grain, posters, and furniture. Seekers are then let loose against the clock to inspect every suspicious corner, shadow, and painted-over texture.

The genius blend of quick-fire artistic improvisation, hilarious blunders, and streamer-ready spectator suspense triggered a meteoric rise across the internet. The title crossed one million copies sold in its first four days, soared past 10 million before the end of its debut month, and now stands proudly at the 20 million mark with massive concurrent lobbies.
Post-launch momentum has remained electric, thanks to steady content rollouts from the developer. Recent updates have introduced new underwater stages alongside an official crossover map based on the liminal horror breakout The Exit 8. Backed by glowing Steam reviews and active community servers, Meccha Chameleon has cemented itself as one of the biggest gaming success stories of the year.
Meccha Chameleon is available to play now on PC via Steam.
