Ten Years in the Making: Fan-Made Team Fortress 2 Classified Officially Launches Free on Steam
- Decade of Development: Formerly known as Team Fortress 2 Classic, developer EMINOMA has officially launched Team Fortress 2 Classified on Steam after a 10-year development cycle.
- New Name, Same Vision: The mod was re-branded to Classified due to new Valve policy guidelines preventing name confusion with Valve’s original Team Fortress Classic.
- Packed with Features: Adds the return of the Civilian class in VIP mode, 4-team multiplayer battles, 21 new and redesigned weapons, and classic toon shading graphics.
- After an extraordinary ten-year journey through community creation and development, developer team EMINOMA has officially released Team Fortress 2 Classified for PC via Steam. Formerly operating under the title Team Fortress 2 Classic, the fan project underwent a name change following Valve policy updates regarding mod naming conventions to avoid confusion with Valve’s legacy shooter Team Fortress Classic.
Price: Free to Play (Requires the original base game Team Fortress 2 installed on Steam, which is also Free to Play).

Team Fortress 2 Classified is designed as a loving reimagining of the 2008 to 2009 era of TF2 while ditching non-canonical additions like wizards, ghosts, and robot hordes in favor of a grounded spy-thriller aesthetic. The release expands the sandbox with heavy content drops:
- The Civilian Class: The legacy character makes his full debut in the new VIP and VIP Race game modes. Players must escort or protect the oil baron to secure victory.
- Four-Team Mayhem: Alongside standard red and blue squads, multi-team modes introduce green (GRN) and yellow (YLW) factions for massive 4-team firefights across Arena and King of the Hill maps.
- Expanded Arsenal: Features 21 new or revamped weapons, including pre-release inspired tools like the Nail Gun, Tranquilizer Gun, and Dynamite Pack, alongside new utility items like jump pads and flak cannons.
- Visual Overhaul: Restores classic toon-style shading alongside upgraded textures, models, and comprehensive modding support for custom weapon packs and server maps.

Following its launch on January 30, 2026, the mod quickly surged past 9,000 concurrent players on SteamDB and maintains a Very Positive rating across thousands of user reviews. While early players note ongoing weapon balance tweaks and occasional community server stability issues, offline bot support and private server hosting are fully operational.

Toss Another Coin: The Witcher 3 Remastered Lands September 29 with Brand-New 2027 Expansion Songs of the Past
- Free Next-Gen Remaster Upgrade: CD Projekt Red announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered launches September 29, 2026, offering a free upgrade for existing owners on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, alongside day-one releases on Nintendo Switch 2 and Battle.net.
- All Major Expansions Included: The Remaster bundles both acclaimed story expansions—Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine—straight out of the box at no extra charge.
- Brand-New 2027 Story Expansion: Unveiled Songs of the Past, a massive new storyline co-developed with Fool’s Theory that brings Geralt to Dandelion’s hometown region of Letten, complete with new chain weaponry, mutagens, and dark curses.
Just when you thought you were finally done wandering the Continent, CD Projekt Red pulled off the biggest bombshell of Gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live. The Polish studio has officially announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered for release on September 29, 2026, while shocking the gaming world with a teaser for an all-new full story expansion, Songs of the Past, arriving in 2027.
Having surpassed an incredible 65 million copies sold worldwide, Geralt’s 2015 magnum opus is getting an extensive visual, gameplay, and performance modernisation co-developed with Yigsoft. The remaster brings overhauled textures, lighting refinements, and streamlined gameplay tweaks, bundling both massive story expansions—Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine—into one unified experience.
The real showstopper, however, was the premiere of Songs of the Past. Nearly a decade after Blood and Wine was thought to be Geralt’s final curtain call, CD Projekt Red and veteran support studio Fool’s Theory are bringing the White Wolf back into the field. The upcoming expansion transports players to the seemingly idyllic countryside region of Letten, the ancestral home of everyone’s favorite bard, Dandelion. Beneath the pastoral festivals and lush harvests lies an ancient, festering curse that demands a witcher’s blade. To take on these newly revealed horrors, Geralt adds a tactical chain weapon for wide crowd control alongside powerful new mutagens and dozens of narrative-rich side quests.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered launches on September 29, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, with the Songs of the Past expansion scheduled to arrive in 2027.

Marking the legendary franchise’s first mainline entry in over two decades, Onimusha: Way of the Sword drops players into early Edo-period Kyoto. Stepping into the geta of a young Miyamoto Musashi on his quest for supreme swordsmanship, players find themselves struck down by supernatural Genma forces—only to awaken imbued with the mythical Oni Gauntlet. To tide players over until launch, Capcom has expanded the existing downloadable demo with a major content patch. The updated demo unlocks the Oni Hidden Village zone, letting players master directional parries against roaming fiends before testing their mettle in a showdown against the multi-phase boss Odotora.
